Latching non latching solenoid valve with acetal body for electronically controlled sanitary systems. Designed for low pressure locations. Includes a customized solenoid housing
Application
Ideal for OEM applications where small size and low power are a must.
Stern offers latching solenoid valves also referred to as bi-stable or normally open, as well as “non-latching” solenoid valves, also referred to as “mono-stable” or “normally closed”.
Available in various configurations and voltages.
Use
Latching solenoid valves are open when the solenoid is not energized. They require one electrical pulse to open the water flow and another electrical pulse to close it. Since this means the solenoid is not using a lot of power, it can be operated using a battery or transformer.
Non – latching solenoid valves are closed when the solenoid is not energized. They require constant electrical current to open the water flow, and close once this electrical current is stopped.
Requiring a constant energy supply to function, the non-latching solenoid should be operated by an electrical connection only.
